One Day Visit to Uganda’s only Rhino Sanctuary
In Nakasongola 2 hours from Kampala, you will find Zziwa rhino sanctuary. The sanctuary is a popular destination en route Murchison Falls National park. However, this time you will not visit Murchison falls unless arranged for a 1 or 2 nights stay. Upon your arrival, you will be allocated a Ranger with whom you will trace the rhino tracks to meet these giant herbivores. The animals are habituated by a certain distance should be kept and some bit of hiding behind trees not to make your presence so obvious. Once you have taken enough photos, you will trace your way back to the reception area. Besides the Rhinos, you can engage in walks, birding and watch resident wildlife.
You will start your journey back to Kampala in the afternoon.
