Would you like to spend more time with the mountain gorillas? This 3 days (2 nights) trip is the best fit for you. Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and enjoy a full 4 hour experience with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural home. This experience is quite different from the gorilla treks; you will be allocated in a group of 4 tourists and you will enjoy gorilla watching for up to 4 hours.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Bwindi

Pickup from Kigali or Kampala. Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda. The journey takes you Uganda’s countryside. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda. Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Havens (Budget) / Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) / Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2:  Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Forest

The guide will pick you up after early breakfast, and drive you to the Rushaga Outpost of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Get briefed about the ‘Dos’ and ‘Don’ts’ of gorilla trekking and how you should behave while with the gorillas within the forest. Guided by a UWA Ranger Guide, start the hike into the impenetrable jungle to look for the endangered mountain gorillas. The Gorilla Habituation Experience can take 6-10 hours depending on the movements of the mountain gorillas within the forest. Tracking involves walking up steep and densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, you will stay with these giant apes for 4 hours enjoying observation and photography. After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge. Have a hot meal. Relax at the lodge.

Day 3: Leave Bwindi for Kampala

Following a morning breakfast, we will depart back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at Mbarara town where you will have your lunch. After lunch, continue to Kampala. Drop off at the hotel or airport.

The above price includes the following;

  • Gorilla tracking
  • Accommodation and meals.
  • But it excludes; Gorilla permit, items of personal nature like Laundry, Beers, tipping of staffs at the lodges.
